Located in Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania, Wilkerson Performance Horses is home to multiple World and National Champion trainer, Heath Wilkerson. Heath has been a horse trainer since 1989. Since he established his business, Heath has been known for his honesty, talent, and hard work ethic. All which has spoken for itself with producing over 100 World and National Champions between his clients and himself.
In 1999 Heath was named "Trainer of the Year" for the Appaloosa Horse Club. A tremendous honor for a young trainer at the time.
Heath's expertise starts with Showmanship and ends with Reining, with Western Pleasure and Western Riding being his specialty. With his vast amount of knowledge in these events it allows his clients to show in all of their favorite events with the confidence and support they need.
When Heath is not riding and training horses, he spends as much time as possible with his two son's, Ty and Chase. Both who are extremely active on the farm and in the show arena. Anyone who knows Heath knows that family is first and foremost in his life. Without the love and support of his family, he doesn't know how he would have gotten where he is today.
In the Spring of 2006, Elizabeth Haynes relocated from Atlanta, Georgia to team up with Heath. Prior to her move, she had trained and shown multiple World, National, and Congress Champions both in AQHA and Aphc. Elizabeth's primary focus has always been Hunter Under Saddle. Lately, she has been working on the Trail.
When Liz isn't in the show arena, she takes care of the finer points of the business. Most importantly, preparing the clients for their all-around events which we all know takes practice, practice, practice.
At Wilkerson Performance Horses they offer a wide variety of expertise in all aspects of the equine industry. They are a licensed dealer of "Lubrisyn." They feel Lubrisyn gives that extra support you horse needs for the strenuous workout in a competitive training program. If you are interested in putting your horse on Lubrisyn, please contact WPH and "Get Sound."
